Does anyone have experience with the life span of the Radiator Hoses on the RX330? My '04 is now tipping 122K and I noticed that the top hose was a little soft. Is there a specific interval for these hoses? I think I may have them (dealer) take look at them when I take it in for the rear spark plug replacement next week. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Radiator hoses are very durable. My previous 1998 Sienna had original hoses when I sold it a year ago with 95K miles. The rad hoses were still tough and strong, not soft.
You can go to the auto part store and test out a brand new hose to see its toughness and strength, then
go home and test your car's hose.
Pay attention to the location where the hose meets the metal tube because most cracks occur where the rubber is stretched.

I have a 1999 RX300 with over 200,000 miles. I asked a reputable mechanic to check the radiator hoses as I have no record of them ever being changed. The mechanic told me they were in perfect condition. They may simply never need changing. I suggest having a mechanic you trust check them out and go with that advice. But I don't think there is any time/mile recommendations.
Thanks for the updates... I think I might just change them out when I do a coolant flush around 125,000. I really do not want to push my luck and have one burst in the middle of nowhere during my daily commute.
You know the hoses arent like those of yesteryear, my RX300 99 had 186k miles, and when I changed the hoses at 150k and 9 years later, the old ones appeared perfect and still very pliable with no signs of deteriation.
