Factory HU & AMP - Added SUB & AMP (Low output to sub..??)
2005 RX330, Factory Nav, ML(or at least my wife says its ML)
I've tried adding an amp and sub, to find that the output is half or less than what it should be... Now I did search some other threads that had similar issues but could not find an exact solution, a lot of hit or miss..??
I hooked up a line out converter to the REAR L & R speakers off of the factory amp... don't remember the colors of the wires off hand, but i did test and know for sure the wires I used were for sure REAR L & R.... The wires were from the larger of the two harness's on the amp....
for the GROUND I used the the bottom of the center bracket that is right behind the center seat.... the ground wire is right under the bolt, and the bolt go's right to the chasis/sheet metal/unibody..?? I did not grind or cause extra contact... but am thinking I should have....
Unless I was supposed to use the smaller wires from the smaller harness of the factory amp....?? If I was suppossed to do this, than does any one know which color codes to follow for this harness..??
