Default Problem with Audiocontrol LC6i LLC

I have an 01 GS430 with M/L and Nav. I decided to get a LC6 and add a 5-channel amp to power interior speakers and sub. Everything went OK, but I cannot turn the LC6 gain up or my speakers distort. I wired the LC6 in after the factory amp and then onto the Kicker 5 channel. Can the problem be I was supposed to wire the LC6 before the factory amp?

NO. you wire it after the stock amp. make sure that the gain on the amp is down all the way. then, adjust the LC6i.

Not sure what is wrong because now I have only the sub going through the LC6i. The sub seems fine, but the highs pop and crack so I have them going through the factory amp. Are you saying turn the Kicker amp all the way down and adjust the LC6 gain only?

I have been on vacation so I just now got the opportunity to do as you suggested and you were right. My mistake was the fact I had my gain turned up on the amp. Now with the amp gain down and adjusting the LC6 more, it sounds 100% better.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
