Default Rx330 weird noises and gear problems.

well the other day when my mom was driving back from a business run and she went in the gas station to get a drink and started the car again. it started all well everything was fine. that was until she put her car into drive, it didnt budge and made an odd budging noise when going into gear. it didnt want to reverse either (same noise).
after all of that she had to floor the gas pedal into a high rpm (and i mean REALLY high) for the car to start running. it ran fine all the way back home. she then told me about it and i started the car and it made a weird rattling noise like a bunch of little plastic ***** rattling inside a can or somthing..

has anyone ever had this problem? or anything similiar? if so please help me and my mom out!

thanks

yes, the symptom is transmission-related. She must need to change transmission fluid at a recommended interval suggested in the manual and make sure to check on fluid level once every few months! Have her car brought in a Toyota dealer for a transmission fluid change. Old fluid and residue can affect the transmission and gears if not flush and fill at a proper time. That is why you heard those noises and had trouble with gear. best of luck.
