I just installed GtaCarKit... on my 05 RX330 no problem.

1 x iPod/AUX adapter for Toyota and Lexus (ToyotaNavBT)

About 45 minutes.

A couple of weekends ago I installed the GROM-USB2P in my 2004 RX 330 (no navigation). I bought the bluetooth kit with the unit and the total cost was about $210 (including tax, shipping, and a $10 coupon I found online). Installation can be done in an hour but my installation took 3 hours because I ran the iPhone cable to the center console storage compartment (which requires complete removal of the center console). I located the Grom unit behind kick panel in the passenger side footwell (easy access for firmware updates but out of sight), located the microphone just above the rear view mirror, and ran the bluetooth receiver up right behind the wood trim piece where the seat heater controls are, and the USB connection wire into the glovebox. It turned out to be a very clean installation.

The unit works pretty well but it does have a few little quirks (which I can live with). There are two videos on YouTube that you could check out: one that shows the simple installation in a 2006 RX330 (search GROM RX330 on YouTube) and the other that shows operation of the unit on a Toyota head unit including bluetooth and phone (search GROM Toyota demo on YouTube).

Let me know if you have any specific questions or would like to know anything about my installation.

Just thought I would share this DIY thread that I viewed when I was looking to add the ipod hook up.

I will probably end up installing the Grom Kit with Bluetooth.

I did the GTA kit in my 04 and it was really easy. Just watch the install video prior to install and you're good.
