Default RX330 Stolen...how??

I just had this car stolen in broad daylight...how?? I always thought the key had a chip so that the bad guys couldn't start it, so was always reaasured. The only way to steal the whole car would be via flatbed...
Am I wrong about the key in the chip??

Yup, the car was probably towed away by professional thieves on a flatbed. Its parts are hot commodities. $200-500 a piece x 500. Did you call city hall to report your missing car?

Come-on guys this guy joined CL in 2006. He hasn't posted much but this could happen to anyone. These cars are hot for thieves. The air bags alone are worth $$$ now-days.

The Swedish Customs took a man from Lithuania last year. He had 10 blank Lexus keys and unlocking and reprogramming equipment. He also had six foreign pink slips for Lexus 600HL and 450H and Porsche Cayenne in a bag.

A few months later 12 Lexus was stolen, nine of those are still missing. Quite a few BMWs like X5/X6 as well as Touareg, Cayennes och Audi Q7 have been stolen.

The secure electronic countermeasures we have are not up date any longer.

Sorry guys, I jumped the gun on this one. Called the city police and found out that the owner of the shopping plaza had called the tow company. Apparently he thinks it was parked there overnight, which it was not. Had to pay $255 to get it released. What a scam...!
But much better then the alternative though

You should try to get the shopping plaza to reimburse you since it was a mistake. Good to hear it wasn't theft.

$225 is far better then the whole car even though it sucks being towed.
