I've had LoJack on all of my RXs. This time around I upgraded to LoJack Early Warning. I can't let anyone drive my RX 30 feet without the fob before the phone calls start less than 10 minutes later. And it can be programmed to call multiple numbers.

tranft, hope you can get reimbursed.

Now that I think about, how did they drag my car onto the flat bed without putting my car in neutral or releasing the e-brake? It seems to drive ok for now, but I hope my transmission isn't damaged.

The tow truck guys drag cars on to the flat beds all the time, I'm not sure what damage it does but you should mention it to your insurance co. and also look for damage on the underside of the bumper where they might have hooked it up to drag it.

Yes it is very interesting on how they tow cars. If FWD, they should tow from the front and let the rear wheels ride. How about AWD? If it is on park...??

You should see if the shopping plaza has a security camera system and demand to see footage if it does.

1) will prove that your car was not there overnight - take a camera to take pics of the security camera as the owner certainly might 'lose' the proof / footage going to small claims court if that is what you need to do to get your $$ back
2) find out how they loaded and towed it

all the new vehicles with a chip on the key or the push start key less system can still be stolen. google it and you will see that thieves are getting high tech too.
