Smile Chrome Window Trim

Hi, I just registered on this great site and own a 2008 RX350. I was curious if the chrome window trim on the newer models will fit the second generation?? I searched but couldn't find anything even related. Is their an after market source for this trim...I think it really makes the newer models stand out and would like to update my '08.

^^^ about nothing on the exterior will fit. I would about rule out everything. I have seen chrome window trim on a 2nd gen though. Might have been custom cause it was a Japanese Harrier or it's a JDM OEM option.

I doubt the new model trim will fit as the car has a different overall profile. I searched for trim some time ago (there's a thread on here somewhere) without success. It is possible to buy chrome trim kits but they include pieces for all the vertical frame elements and look too fussy and garish for my tastes.

I know that Lexus sold the later second gen Rx with trim here in Australia, but I'm not brave enough to ask the dealer for a quote. As noted above it might be possible to get JDM Harrier trim to suit.

Thanks guys. Yes I have tried searching and have only found one kit. I think its a bit more than what I want. My Lexus is all black with chrome door handles. I'm thinking of breaking up the all black look a little. Maybe chrome roof rack? How about the chrome molding that sits low on the doors like on the new models??

Don't wanna over do Chrome. Ever..... Be careful with that expensive kit cause that will just about over do it Chrome roof rack? Well I would say it might look great for show. But not all the pieces on that kit and the rack. Lord......

I agree, too much chrome can be easily overdone! The chrome handles came stock from Lexus. The new 3rd generation models have just the right amount of chrome IMO. I am thinking maybe alittle door molding in chrome could help balance it out..
