TSB transmission re-flash
I am picking up my 2004 RX330 on monday. Fortunately the vehicle is being passed down to me by my parents, and lucky for me the car only has 22,000 miles on it. I took the car out tonight and the shifting seems to be normal to me, but would it be worth taking it in for the ECU re-flash anyway? I know I did some research on here and have found that the TSB is open for 8 years or 80K.
BTW, this is my first post, good to be here.
Thanks,
Kevin

Drive it for a few weeks. If you are happy, leave it alone. If you think there is room for improvement, take it in. If you do go to the dealer, be ready to be assaulted with recommended services and their high costs.
Welcome!!
Welcome!!
so after owning the car for the last month I have noticed the tranny issue that everyone talks about. My question is will this still be covered, even though I am the 2nd owner of the car?

Just an update,I didnt forget you guy`s,they still have my car. The tech didnt like the way it was shifting,so their doing more test`s. Hope this isnt going to be serious.
i would also like to add re; the loaner RX350. i noticed the mpg read out was around 17mpg. lets face it, people dont put premium fuel in a loaner. so when i got fuel,i put in premium. the millage is now @ 20.7 mpg`s and much smoother acceleration, power is about the same.
