well I brought the car in on tuesday, they had it for about an our and basically re-set the ECM and whatever else is involved with the TSB. The service guy told me that I should drive the car harder than normal for about a week since they have had some come back where the re-flash didn't take effect. To be totally honest it almost seems like the problem is worse AFTER bringing it into the dealership. In the 2 months I have owned it I have only noticed the tranny shifting issues about 3-4 times.

Since AFTER the "fix" it has done it about 4-5 times THIS WEEK. Under hard acceleration the tranny shifts fine, but under soft acceleration it seems to only bog between the 2-3 gear shift.

Any clues, should I bring it back to the dealership, is there anything else they can really do about the problem without it costing me an arm and a leg?

You should take your battery out for 30 minutes so everything in the car resets...and drive the hard for 2 weeks so your car gets used to your new driving habit.

My service adviser told me this, instead of paying to have my ecu-flashed..

That isnt going to do it. When they re-flash the ecm, their adding new data to the computer. (up dated data) I cleared the ecm before this a few times, and it was no real help.I did notice that it shifted better (before) on the 87-89 octane fuel.
