Headlight washers not working

Default Headlight washers not working

Just noticed my headlight washers are not working on my RX350. When I push the button, nothing happens, not even any noise.
As I don't use them much in summer, not sure how long they have been out of order. I checked the fuse and it seems fine.
Any ideas of what might be wrong?

You are aware that in order for them to work, the lights should be on, right?

I have the projectors on all the time. Never use the daylight headlights. I am assuming this is still considered the headlights since if I have it on auto they come on at night anyway. Sorry to be all about me Hope it helps the OP>

So you have the HID on all the time while you drive ?? You should at least hear sound of
the spray trying.

If use HID during daytime you really should stop doing that as it's a waste and severely shortens the life span of the HID bulbs and ballasts. If you are on auto, which I'm DRL goes on most of the day and only as the sensor on dash detects the need for HID.

The thing is with being on auto position is; every time I pull in or out of the garage,they come on. So, (per your same advice) to keep from shortening the bulb/ballast/igniter life,I just put them on as needed.

lets step back for a moment.

If you leave them on auto, they headlights still have to be on (ie. at night) for the button behind the gear shifter to work. If you are on auto during the day time, and the headlights are not on, then the button will not work.

a second method is having the headlights on and then pulling the windshield wiper stalk as if to wash the windshield. This will activate the headlight washers as well.

Well I am glad I am not a dumb as I felt. Not working. I really have tried everything and they just don't work.

After reading all this about the headlight washers, I realized I did not know if mine work. Answer is they do, either when the headlight washer button is pressed, or when the windshield washer lever is pulled, in both cases with the lights 'on' and the vehicle moving (I have not tried with lights off and / or vehicle stopped). Indeed, as someone remarked, if the headlight washer button is pressed, the spray is strong enough to reach the windshield, which is the easy way to check.

Plenty of fluid coming from the windshield washers. Unless there is a separate well that it's getting fluid from. But It was said here it did not.
