when you adjust your headlights (using the service manual) you are supposed to be parked so many feet away from a blank wall on a level surface (a garage door will work fine) you are then supposed to measure so far up the wall and draw a horizontal line, thus giving you a target to aim the headlights to.
so who cares how many turns you make, just put the centre of the light beam in the target and you are done.

yes that what i do. but the manual was so specific you have to turn the bolt 1.25 times you turn the screw.... im wondering if there's a reason that this much be done. i only turned 1 screw to align like how it is on most cars. Dont knw why this car is such a pia. Just wondering the reason i need to do this or can i keeping ignoring it.
I had Thompson Lexus do mine for me,The low beams were too low. Now I can see really good. They said they adjusted them to the highest setting that it would allow. Did it via a computer some how,and it was $57.00 well spent. ;- )
