anyone know if its possible to swap out my stock RX halogen headlighs for original RX hid lights. I got a good deal on some used hid lights.
the lights are Identical in connections and bolts locations. I know on bmw and mercedez you can swap them out and it works, but you end getting a light out on the dash. Is this possible also on the lexus models ?

yes it direct swap. i did it on my girlfriend 04 rx330, plug & play, make sure you buy the headlights from 09, if you could find, because they have nearly clear lens, they look brighter than the old model, what i did to the stock clear lens, i add some spacer to get more color to it, they awsome, good luck.

I figured they could be swapped. Unfortunatetly they are 04 lights, but for $300 for the set-I could not turn it down. I been looking for 09 but they want $1,000 for the set at best.

just wait man, you would find them on ebay, because the 04 one has dimpling lens which make the light not bright, it'll not lit up the road good, even dimmer than the halogen one, i bought total 7 headlights and compared, the headlights from 06 to 07 has frosted lens and 08-09 has clear lens, i got 1 from 04, and 4 from 06 and lucky 2 from 08 which has clear lens i bought them 100 shipped from the guy scobb..... some thing, good luck man.
