Default Summer tires

Hello,
Before the bashing begins about using the search tool about tires here is my situation.
My Lexus has the Goodyear Integrity tires, which suck! I have 40 000 km or 25000 miles and they are on the wear bars. The whiskers are still on the sidewalls. Trying to get Goodyear to honour is 80 000 km warranty is about as useful as a waterproof tea bag. I digress.

I need a tire advice for summer tires only. I have Blizzaks for winter. I've read several praises for Alenza Duellers. I was wondering if the praises would be equal for these tires for summer use only, or are there other options to consider.
Thanks for your help,
Chris

I will be the only one on here to recommend Michelin`s,but I dont care. They are an awsome tire, but dont expect a long life out of them.Due to their performance rating. If you want a performance tire, they are the way to go. (ok,let the bashing`s begin now ) However, another tire I recommend is Falken, they are a very good tire as well. That would be my 2nd choice.

The Duelers can be used year round defeating the purpose. You might want to check out a different tire, preferably non-OEM. Love Michelin but like lexus114 said you're looking at the same tire life. And you were lucky getting the miles you did on the Goodyears. I didn't even make 20K.

Just caught Tire Rack's ad here. Promo on Michelins, $70 off set of four. Wonder if they have another non-OEM tire available like I had on my '99.

Canadian destined RX's were never equipped with Goodyear Integrity Tires. Most were factory equipped with Michelin Energy Tires the others were equipped with Goodyear Eagle RSA's - those are the only 2 brands that I have ever seen on CANADIAN vehicles. Integrity tires are very inferior. I just sold a 2008 with 17" Mich Energy Tires with 70,000km on original tires and they had performed well. At 70 km, however, they were due for replacement. If I had kept the vehicle, Michelins would have been installed again....I am a firm believer in them!

I purchased RX used and for the safety the dealer had to replace tires so the Integrity's are what I'm stuck with

Was it a Lexus dealer that you purchased the car from? Particularly if it was a CPO vehicle from Lexus, please call Lexus head office in Scarborough and let them know that your Lexus dealer replaced original tires with non-spec tires - but that will be your only recourse if it was from a Lexus dealer--if it was from a used care dealer--you get what you get. I had those as original equipment tires on a Honda Pilot and I would not have them on a wagon - they had terrible traction on wet pavement poor performance in snow --need I go on? That was one of the reasons that I left Honda to go to Lexus --Honda continued to use Integrity Tires and Lexus was using Michelins! While I have never driven a Lexus with those Integrity Tires, on a Honda Pilot, in my view they were just plain dangerous. You can always buy a new set from Tirerack and sell the others - but they won't earn you much money since they are inexpensive to begin with. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks for the advice. I purchased the vehicle from a Toyota dealership. I will call Lexus in Scarborough and see what they have to say. Thanks for the tip.
