Smile Speed Sensor replacement in '04 RX 330

Does anyone know how difficult this would be for a mere mortal, like myself. I am by no means a professional mechanic, but I've kept my '66 Ford alive all these years!

wheel speed sensors are pretty straight forward. only trouble might be had while removing them as they tend to get seized in the hole pretty good, but since you are changing it you can easily hammer it out, make sure you have some sand paper handy clean out the hole for the new one.

usually there is onlt a couple bolts holding them on,

I take it that your speedometer is busted? Hence the need to change the sensor, assuming it is the sensor that is defective?

Or am I completely off track?

pretty sure he means the wheel speed sensor located on the knuckle, (ie the ABS and trac lights are on)

pretty sure the speedo gets its info from the transmission

They are straight forward and I think you should have no issues replacing. Do you know which wheel sensor is acting up?

Reviving an oldie here! My abs/trac vsc lights have been on for a while.. Took my car in and the diagnosis is the rear wheel speed sensor. They quoted $580 to replace it! What? He said that the bolt would likely need to be drilled out, but still. Isn't this a $30 part?
