Default Radio with no volume

Hi

I have a factory radio that works partially. Yesterday my battery went dead. After replacing the battery with a new one the radio powers on, but has no sound. When I try to bring uo the volume, with the **** or the drivers wheel buttons, the volume displays 0. No sound comes out of it. Also, the ASL and treble and bass functions are dead. Any advice?

What is the model and year? If it's still under warranty take it to the Lexus dealer for replacement or repair.

Maybe someone will have advice for you, I really don't have a clue. That said, the vehicle is still under warranty (4 years) but you don't have much time. The 2007 models were available for sale in March of 2006.

Have you checked all the fuses? Maybe something like the audio amplifier fuse has blown. Many OEM radios also have a fuse at the back... I am not sure if that is the case or not on the RX.

I solved the problem. Last year I installed an aftermarket iSimple - Apple® iPod® Direct Connect Kit under the dash. After I jiggled the unit everything came back to normal. I recall that I had a similar problem in the past and by rechecking the connection under the console all the functions came back. I will research if any problems have been reported for the iSimple.

I thought only the battery was replaced and there was no messing with any wiring under the dash or near the radio.

I am leaning toward a possible fuse as well.
