2004 RX330 Mark Levinson Sound Settins
Is there a way to save my sound settings( bass, treble, balance, fade etc) on my factory head unit? Every time I start my RX all my settings revert to default...
I see nothing in the owners manual..
Am I missing something?

No action is required to store the settings. Seems like the radio is completely losing power when you shut the engine off.
I would check the fuse that supplies power to the radio at all times. It is labeled Radio No. 1 and is a 15 amp fuse located in the fuse box on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

Thanks, I'll check that.
I'm not sure that would be it because the radio does keep all the radio channel presets.
possibly the "Audio Adjust" **** isn't saving your settings.
Try to adjust the settings with the Audio Adjust one step past the setting you are adjusting, to save it. ( if that makes any sense)
If you play a CD, will the CD play where it left off when you start the car the next time?

Actually the channel presets are on a continuous power, the settings for the radio may be linked with another fuse with the ignition on...

So... all fuses are good, put a CD in and played it for a bit on second track, turned RX off and started it again... CD started right where it left off(2nd track), it didn't lose its place... But still the system resets all the sound settings...
thanks for for all your input, greatly appreciated...,
any other thoughts?
At this point my thoughts are either something internal to the head unit or the head unit does not like the voltage transient during startup.
I do not think it is voltage related since I just disconnected my battery for 2 minutes and it maintained radio station and audio presets. I did need to reset my windows, clock and moon roof. I have a 2004 with Mark Levinson without navigation. Out of curiosity, do you lose your presets if you turn your radio off and then on with the stereo **** while maintaining the car running? Also if you go between "Off" and "Accessory" do you lose the presets?
My guess is something with the head unit. I would try disconnecting the battery long enough (maybe 30 minutes) to clear your radio station presets. Disconnecting the battery has proven effective for clearing "Error 4" on the CD player for me a couple of times, maybe it will work some magic for you.
Aloha, Joe

thanks Joe,
I have a feeling it's an internal problem with the head unit.
I will try your suggestions, fingers crossed...
