Default Replace Air suspension w/ Standard suspension

anyone done this before? I think it's time for new struts in my car and wanted to take this time to get rid of the air suspension. Has anyone done this conversion before?

TIA

why do you think you need new struts??

i have air suspension as well, and have thought about it as well, what to do when and if it has trouble.

but if you get rid of the air ride, what will you do with the switch on the center console? what about the gauge cluster lights with HI N LO?? changing it to conventional suspension will definetly reduce your resale value by alot.

and lets face it, chances are only one corner will go, if anything at all, so you could spend the 1000k to replace one corner, or you could spend the same amount, if not more and convert it to coils, then you have the loss when you go to sell it, and the cost to convert the interior,

it might be pricey, but i think one is better keeping the air ride intact

i did some research on the air ride before and after i bought it (i bought my 04 used last july) and i did not find any known problems whatsoever.

only thing i did find, was when they did go wrong, they were very expensive to repair

I have posted up a similar post before but I thought I wasn't clear enough on the topic line.

I have a 2004 equipped with air suspension and I have had experienced the most embarrassed moment in my life driving a Lexus. The passenger side rear sensor failed and it kept sending signal to the compressor to "pump it up"! So you can imagine driving a car with one side of the bum tilted up.... well the worst thing is it pushed down the driver side front corner. I have had that sensor replaced and it cost me $500+ for parts and labor. And I was told by the service advisor that all 4 sensors will go dead one after another...

So I'll keep my finger cross and hope that there will be no problem before I trade it off to something else... But now after this particular experience, I'll for sure stay away from air suspension.

that same thing happened to my vehicle, only not to me, but the previous owner, he took it to the dealer, all they did was turn the car off, and start it back up, apparantly it reset it self and he was good to go, no parts required.
