So, I was washing my RX today and popped the hood to wipe the water out of the engine bay. I noticed red calcium build up on the top corner of my radiator on the passenger side. Could my radiator be leaking? Any ideas? Help?
Since it is a CPO I think I should probably make an appointment with my local dealer and have them check it out. However, have any of you guys experienced anything like this?
That is the color of the Lexus/Toyota coolant/anti-freeze. Since it must be coming from some place you more than likely have a leak some place. Would take pictures if possible for your personal record(s) and look for any stone damage. Then, get the RX over to the dealer soonest. Not something you want to push especially if it is still under warranty.
Take it in it is a CPO. There was a TSB for the radiator but the potential leak was in the bottom, they extended the warranty on the radiator to cover for this failure.
Probably hey as long as it works...lol...I am loving the IS my wifey misses the RX. I was actually looking around pricing used IS CPO's if I could pull the trigger I would on an IS350 but man these cars are still out of my reach even used. However, atleast I know that Lexus is holding thier values.
