Default Electrical Question - Signal Mirrors

Well - I just got my signal mirrors painted and plan on doing a DIY soon. I want to test the lights first before I start just to make sure the LEDs work.

I think I can just touch the wires to both sides of the battery to check the lights. Can anyone confirm this for me? I wouldn't want to blow the LEDs.

TIA

yes you should be able to do that. If the lights don't light up when you conenct the wires just swap the wires and it should work. Some of the LED circuit board these days have protection chip that keeps you from back feeding the LEDs so if you connect the wires backword it will just simply not work.
good luck
