Default Tires

Hi guys, anybody have any good tire recommendations for both the 18' rims on the RX330 with nav, and the 17" tires for RX330's without Nav. I have to replace both, thanks to everyone!

Did you try a search? LOTS of comments on tires here.

Fwiw, after I searched, I settled on the Bridgestone Dueler Alenza for my 05 330. They have a 60000 mile warranty, good reviews and seem to fit the car nicely. They are cheaper than the Michelins and they have a warranty whereas the Michelins don't.

With only a couple of thousand miles on them, I really can't comment on wear but they are relatively quite, ride nicely and handled the snow well.

What ever tires you decide on, navigation or no navigation, will have no bearing on performance, wear, traction, etc.

Another fan of the Bridgestone Dueler Alenzas. About 15,000 miles on them now and they are showing little signs of wear. They handle much better than the OEM Goodyears.

I got the Toyo Proxes ST 255/50/18 on my Weds 18". I'm gonna reserve comments until they get broken in, but so far, I like it.

As a side comment, I had Toyo G2 winter tires on for the last few months and loved them. Great winter traction. I used to have Toyo Proxes on my Mazda a few years back and they were great tires.

I personally dislike the Goodyear tires the RX comes with. I find they look smaller in the wheel well (although not sure if they are) but I just find the Goodyear tires noisy. My truck has Goodyear Fortera Triple Treads and I hear the same road noise.

Also never had any luck with some Dunlop tires. After spending time and $ trying to fix a vibration in my truck.... one tire couldn't pass a load force balance.

Just some thoughts - I think everyone has varying experiences.

Size-wise, are the Weds 18" similar to the stock 18 x 7's? Did you need spacers or any other mod?

The reason I ask is that I want to go bigger tires this time (changing out Dueller Allenza's) and I heard the Sumitomo HRR4 Sport H/P 255/55/18's work with 5mm spacers.

Put in Yokohama Parada SpecX about 2 weeks ago. Very nice quiet ride. Stiff but smooth handling, ie. barely feel the bumps but almost no body roll. Can't comment on wear yet, but will report back at the end of the season.

Yeah, the Weds are 7.5 and needed spacers because of the high offsets.
