Let me share my findings. My trip registered 235.2 miles from a DC Metro-area Maryland Shell Station to another one in Long Island, NY. The pump calculated a loss of 9.334 miles, which means I averaged 25.198 miles/gallon. However, I will try again because I was stuck in stop-and-go traffic on the Belt Parkway for about 30 minutes. I think I can average much higher in fairer traffic patterns. My next attempt at a long-run drive will follow the maintenance procedures I'd previously outlined a few posts back.

 

Nice job, 25 MPG sounds great even with the delay. That may have cost you 0.5 MPG. Try again & let us all know.
