HID Retrofit

I have recently been looking at purchasing a leftover 2009 RX 350 that unfortunately does not have the HID option. Having found lots of factory HID headlamps on EBay, can anybody tell me if it possible to replace the halogen lamps with the factory HIDs?

I assume that this would be a direct "plug and play" with the only drawback being that the AFS would not function due to missing sensors?

Yes, they will fit. You are correct about AFS also. Make sure they E-bay ones include ballast and igniters or you would have to spend a few hundred extra dollars for those too.
