Default Just bought a 2007 RX 350

Hello all

I am looking for your thoughts on two questions:

1. I just bought a certified RX 350 AWD with every option except rear DVD player. It had 36,000 miles on it and I paid 32,000 plus TTL. I don't believe I got a killer deal but feel I paid a decent price. Thoughts?

2. A few days after I purchased the RX I felt a light vibration during slow acceleration. Service dept said it had a bad clutch and the entire tranny would need to be replaced. New transmission works fine. Seems odd to me a tranny with 36,000 miles on it had a problem. Is this an odd occurrence or have there been many reported tranny problems?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Rich

Congratulations and one advice ... just keep up with regular maintenance and simply ENJOY your purchase. You can unnecessarily worry with what can go wrong and spoil your fun.

It is certified, so enjoy it. If there's a problem, head out to the dealer. As Salim says, enjoy it!

^^^ +1 Enjoy it! There's no sense in asking if you got a good deal AFTER you bought it. You should have posted your question BEFORE you bought the RX.

Anyway, good luck and hope you enjoy your new RX!

Welcome to Club Lexus. I have a 2007 Flint Mica RX350. Enjoy.

Also just aheads up. Every question you have now or will have in the future. About your new Lexus has been asked before.

So before you start a " How Do I hook up my Ipod " Thread. Please use the search function on the web page. It is fantastic. Also the owners manual has some great information.

Thanks for the info--I guess I should have added that I bought this vehicle for my wife. I drive it when it needs gas or maintenance. She loves the ride and says when this one wears out she wants another one.

Lexus? Wear out? I have to force my wife to trade her 97 ES300 in on a new RX.
Sounds like you got an excellent deal on your certified 350!
Also looks like the dealer is standing behind their product, even better.
Now we know why we aren't driving Infinitis.
