For a TC edition, it is a good price. However, due diligence needed to make sure no major accident on the car. Are all maintenance records available?

Autocheck was OK, don't know maintenance. Called Lexus and they indicated it has the premium plus package, towing,18" wheels, heated seats/headlamp washers, wheel locks

 

Which TC version - what color? There are two, one is called Thundercloud Metallic, a sort of grey/lavender/pewter color depending on the lighting, and the other is the Granite Mica color, a dark grey. The Thundercloud Metallic is the rare bird, only 500 ever produced. Does it still have the Thundercloud rims? These are banded in a darker color, and the interior front carpets have the Thundercloud logo on them. If it’s all correct, then you got a real deal!

 

It's metallic. I assume it still has the TC wheels,etc since it was a lease turn in but I'll find out when I pick it up I guess. Xmas present for my 16 old daughter.

 

Great for you, whereabouts in Georgia? The TC wheels are 5 spoke but with some designed in buttons.

 

I thought I got a good deal on my 2004, but I think your deal is even better. Good work on finding the vehicle. If it works out, I'm sure you will enjoy it as I have enjoyed mine.

 

Dunwoody GA. I finally found some pics of the car on the net and saw those wheels. I noticed that some sellers of putative TC's did not have those wheels, which is suspicious. My daughter wanted white but this is what she's going to get

 

You can tell her that she will have a very rare Limited Edition RX, which is gospel - that should mollify her a bit. Lexus only produced like 1,600 TC's, and only 500 have the Thundercloud Metallic color. The TC's all have a little TC tag on the exterior, front edge of the front door, just below the rub strip. If this isn't there, odds are that it's a standard RX with the TC wheels and grill added. Also, this was the first, and for a long time, only RX to have the black birdseye maple trim in lieu of the standard wood interior.
