Anybody know anything about having to disconnect battery when doing alignment?
Unbelievable, I just had an alignment done today when I got a new set of tires on the wife's car. Then, tonight I run across a TSB referring to all Lexus vehicles with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and having to momentarily disconnect the battery as a necessary step for performing the zero point calibration.
What does this mean? Is my alignment screwed up???

Well, here is my take on this. An alignment is a mechanical issue. I can't imagine what the battery has to do with it, even if it is in a TSB. I can't see any way that your alignment was jeopardized by an electrical item.

last time when i had my alignment done by the local dealer they did disconnect the battery. They actually came and asked me to give them list of radio station that i had programed so they can reprogram it. I don't know why they did this but they did. You may want to call the local dealer and just ask the service department.
