Default Transfer Case Leak

I have a transfer case leak on my '04 RX330 with about 63k miles on it.

Appears to be coming from either the area where the silicone mated the iron and aluminum parts of the housing, or possibly from where the transfer case connects to the trans.

Am I correct to assume that the dealer will not fix this under warranty at my mileage?

Has anyone tried to repair this themselves? I've read a few of the postings with various transfer case leaks and they talk about removing the transmission...

Check it out, I bet you it is part of the powertrain warranty which goes to 70K miles......take it in.

You're right. It was covered under the 70k powertrain warranty. Good for us.

When I first saw the wet area, I cringed because I'm used to the Big 3 way of covering warranties where they basically try to stick it to you especially if you are technically beyond the 4/50k warranty.
