Default Front Transfer Case Leaks

I have a transfer case leak on my '00 RX300 AWD with about 97k miles on it.

Appears to be coming from the area where the silicone mated the iron and aluminum parts of the housing.

Am I correct to assume that the dealer will not fix this under warranty (Power terrain) at my mileage?

Has anyone tried to repair this themselves? Please let me know details.

What is the rate of leakage? I seem to recall some articles on stop-leak products for slow leaks.

If you're within the terms of the warranty and the leak is significant enough, then I would think you would have a case. But, if the warranty terms have a 6-year cut-off and you're at 8 years, I would think that's not much of a case.
