Need help installing a brake controller in my RX350
I'm installing a brake controller on my 07 RX350 and I need to pass two wires from the battery thru the firewall to the console and I haven't figured where to pass it thru the firewall. Lexus seems to have everything pretty tight. I've done it on my ES300 before, that was pretty easy but my RX has got me baffled. One wire is for charging my battery on my camping trailer and the other is for the brake controller which operates the electric brakes on my camper. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Since I own an Rx300 so my advice may not be applicable ..
Depending on the current draw, you have a 12v switched ACC in the trunk area. This can save you snaking the wire all the way back.
On RX300 there is a rubber grommet high above the driver's left foot. The wire bundle runs to the fuse box above the driver's left knee and the battery area. The wires run in the left front wheel well ... you have to undo number of plastic shields.
