Default Garage Opener

Can anyone tell me how to program the garage opener in our cars. I try many times and it either I'm doing it wrong or its broken but I doubt it. Thx for your time.

If you have rolling code, you need to teach the opener as well.

1. To avoid operating the garage door opener, drive to a place which is out of range of the remote.

2. Set the RX remote in learn mode, bring the garage-remote near it and activate it. Watch the red led on RX blink rapidly to indicate, it has learnt the frequency.

3. pull out the manual of you garage door opener. Bring your RX in range. Typically there is a button you hit on the opener and within 10sec or so send the recently learnt (step 2) from RX. Light may blink on the garage door opener to confirm it has synced up to the RX.

Generally easier with 2 people. Like Salim stated, you need to program the RX first than your garage door opening mechanism. I suggest 2 people because it's easier than trying to run up and down a ladder, jump into the car and finalize the programming in the roughly 10 seconds allotted.

There are several threads on this, try this in the search function: garage+door+rolling+codes
