Trouble pairing car with garage door opener
I followed the directions in the manuals for the car and garage door opener and it will not work. Any ideas. Thanks

Did you program your garage door opener to accept the transmission.
After you program the sending unit (RX; when you get rapid flashs), you then press a button on the garage door lift motor and with in 20 secs or so send a signal from RX. This completes the learning process.

Is it a Genie opener? A few years ago I installed one, and it simply would not program my Cadillac's HomeLink. I contacted Genie, and they sent me a special remote for the opener. I had to first match that remote to the opener, and then use it to program the HomeLink.

try using the learn button on the garage door opener it self (there are separate instructions in the manual for it too). i have found this way to be much better, and less troublesome.

If it is a rolling code garage door opener, there are 2 additional steps to take to complete the process.
If you search this group awhile back someone posted the complete procedure for the rolling code system.

We don't have this option in the cars down here in Australia. Has anyone got a picture of where this is in the car (i.e. what it looks like)? Probably be a hard thing to install, but would be nice to see what this is in the car. I have a 2003 RX330 (or 2004 in US manufacturing years).

We just bought a used RX350. I tried to pair the garage openers, and it wouldn't work at first. The red light on the opener was working, but i changed the battery anyways. It paired on my next try.
