Default RX330 Air cabin filter direction

So, I feel really dumb. I bought a new carbon air cabin filter for my Rx330. I found the filter no problem and removed it. Took the new one out of the box and went to place it back in the tray. I have no clue which way to put it in. After I do get it in....does the arrow on the tray point up toward the top of the car or down. Which way is the air flow?

sigh.........

I thought I could do this one without help!

Nancy

I made one of my own over the weekend using a 3M hepa filter from Home Depot for about $10. I believe it faces up. (Flows from bottom floor and goes towards the top to the roof)

THANK YOU..... I did it right. I noticed that when I hit the "AUTO" button to cool off the car it was taking a long time to get up to speed. Seems like the air flow is slowed down dramatically by the filter. I am starting to wonder if the charcol filters are just to dense for the car.

I had it in the right direction. I removed it to look and was amazed at how much the air flow was restricted. Should I can the carbon filter?

Thanks again....

How much did you pay for it, did you get it from the dealer?

It is OEM then. Carbon helps with the odor control.

no not available on the RX. it automatically switches to recirculate and circulate depending on temperature and fan speed and blow location.

only newer lexus models have the smog sensor and even then its not all Lexus models. only the higher ends. as an example, the IS350 has a smog sensor, but the IS250 does not
