Have you changed the LPS for the automatic headlights so it can be turn on under darker or lighter ambient light conditions? I have the normal (standard) setting but I don't recall the headlights turn on when driving through highway overpass... not even in my dealer service area, indoor with spotlights.

 

They will not turn on right away, even if you adjust the setting to lighter ambient light conditions. Always take some time to turn on unlike the other makes.

 

I recall it takes like 30 seconds (or maybe less) to turn on the headlights in "normal" setting while my car was entering the service area (indoor) with spotlights on.

 

That's normal. Changing that particular LPS setting won't shorten the time.

 

My other car (non Toyota/Lexus) is bit more sensitive than the RX.

 

Just run the lights in the ON position--I run my lights ALL the time and I have it set so they go out when I open the door...With all the crazies out there I like being seen with my HIDS on whenever I drive
