Default 2007 RX350 Air Conditioning

Anyone still getting the CHECK AIR CONDITIONING message sometimes when starting their 2007 RX 350?

I have seen it mentioned on this forum before, but no resolutions.

Any news would be appreciated.

I've gotten it a couple times when we first got the car, after a cold start. It's a message error, nothing actually wrong with the air conditioning unit itself. I haven't seen a TSIB on it.

I had my RX350 at the dealer yesterday on another issue and inquired about the "Check Air Conditioning" error. Still no fix from Lexus. Still no timeline for a fix.

Default AC Message

I get it more than I like! I wasn't aware that it had been discussed before. I have to turn the AC off and on to get it to work. The first time it happened it stayed hot in the car for 30 minutes before I saw the message. I guess the dealer won't be able to fix it?

My Father's RX350 (Japanese build) has the same glitch.

When I borrowed his car for a week, about a month ago, the problem recurred 3 times.

Other than that, I love his car!

I've found it helps if you don't have the air conditioning on when you start the car, so I've made it a habit of always turning it off before I turn off the car. Also helps with rough initial idling during cold starts.

Default 2007 air conditioning

Hi. New to the board, was just researching the air conditioner issue with 2007 RX 350s. I recently bought a 2800 mile demo model, and immediately noticed the problem with my car. Happens everytime the car is stated cold and the air conditioning has been left on. The dealer states that they never noticed the problem, and that they and several service managers of other dealers they called have never heard of this problem??? Is there any new information regarding the software fix that others have been told is coming from Lexus? Thanks for any new information.....

I'll second the advice to turn off the a/c before shutting off the engine. It's also good advice to wait a minute or so after starting it again before using the a/c.

I've always been in that habit and have never had that issue since its been brand spankin new..

Ron..

Welcome to Clublexus. Just a couple of tips.

Search Google prior to posting any questions. If you have no luck.

Use the search function on Clublexus. It is outstanding.

Every question you could possibly think of asking. Ever. Has already been answered.

Also when asking a question. Please state which type of car and equipment you have installed. For example the year. is it a 330 or 350. FWD or AWD. Mark Levinson or Premium Stereo. Navigation. Rear Entertainment. Does the system work and your only getting a warning. Things like that.

On your Check A/C warning. You get this fault when you remove the Audio Control Head on a Mark Levinson Navigation equipped car.

You may have a lose connector or the control head might be bad.

The A/C works when this happens. You just dont have any control of the system. It goes to a default setting.
