Default painted calipers on RX330

I'm bored of looking at the ugly calipers on my black RX330. Has anyone painted their calipers? Or installed calipers of a different color? I think some red calipers would look interesting. I need a brake job soon and want to change the calipers. Any recommendations? I'm hoping that painting the calipers will do no harm.

The problem with painting them is you're still stuck with the tiny calipers. Bigger ones would definitely look better. I've seen red and yellow calipers on black cars and they look pretty cool.

I'm not a fan of the ugly tiny calipers on my crystal white RX350 either, but I have no idea what would look good with the white color. Perhaps bigger, better looking calipers in silver.

Since the RX isn't a sporty vehicle, red or yellow calipers may look "ricy" IMO. I like 32kcolors idea about simplre larger calipers, painted in a nice metallic silver.

With careful masking and a wee bit of care, you can paint them on your car using a rattle can with fairly good results. I would consider gloss black or silver as good looking. I would also think that gloss white would be nice although I will reserve final opinion until I actuall saw one. I did gloss red on a red Acura and it looked great and lasted more than 5 years before I even considered touching them up.

Then there is the G2 paint ...

The situation is you need to remove the four wheels and jack stand the vehicle. The paint is epoxy based with a limited curing time..

I've been looking all over the internet for replacement calipers for the RX, preferably in some nice bright colors. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything. And I agree, these calipers are teeny and I might not like the look once I painted them; that is why I'm so hesitant. I love the black color of my RX330, but I want to add just a small splash of color to the vehicle to make it more interesting looking. I don't think I would be happy painting the calipers black since my vehicle is already black.
