Default Gen V Nav w/DVD question

Hey guys. I have a Gen V w/DVD question.

With the Rear DVD entertainment system, should I be able to see a DVD video on the nav screen while in park? I've heard it could be done, but I can't get it to work. Is it a gen V problem?

Thanks,

I think the parking brake has to be engaged as well. Have you tried that?

RINsE Out,

Partially helped. When I put the brake on, I indeed can see the controls for the dvd, but still no picture. Audio is on, controls are there, but no picture. Any other ideas?

Anyone with a Gen V get it to work?

Default MODE button

Once you have the emergency brake on and the DVD playing on the rear
entertainment unit, you need to hit the "mode" button on the steering wheel
several times until the front screen says DVD. At that point, it should be
playing on the front screen.

Hopefully this helps!

Default update

Just for an update guys.

I took the car back to Lexus and I had to leave it there for diagnostics. Turns out there was a problem with the "Head Unit", which they had to order a new one for me.

They did order one, I brought the car back in and they swapped it in about 30 mins.

Lexus claims this was the first time they have ever seen that problem. I'm happy to say they treated us very well throughout the whole experience.
