my wife and i are debating if we should take the plunge to the the RX350 RWD w/ Navi fully loaded at invoice of $39.8 . the delima is we want to buy a house in about 3 years, with the purchase of the 07 RX350, we will have to finance for 5years which leaves us an additional 2years to pay off vs. the 3years that she wanted. with 3years, we have to get an RX330 used for ~under $35k out the door. i personally prefer the 350 new, but an additional 2years payment can take away from the down payment of the house in 3years or hurt us with the monthly on the house. what should i do? .. invoice for the car is a great price to pass up.
The house is a good investment that will most likely appreciate in value. On the other hand, a car - any car - does nothing but depreciate and lose money. Personally, I wouldn't jeopardize the house with an excessive car payment. As nice as the RX is, I'd look for a cheaper car. You'll have the house a lot longer than the car.

First, there is no RX that is RWD. They are FWD or AWD.
Secondly, put your money into a house, and buy whatever car you can afford after that, even if you wind up driving a Kia (well, maybe a Honda) for a few years.
Besides, there is very, very little difference between a 330 and a 350, but there is a big difference between a nice house and living in a box.
I'm with rxdriver on this one - go for a CPO'd RX 330 - there isn't that much difference between it and the 350. If you are considering buying a house, it's a better deal to put your money into something that doesn't depreciate. Your '04 Lexus will still retain enough value to make a nice down payment on a newer model RX after you've had a year or two in that new home.
Where can you get a 350 for invoice? What part of California are you in? We just began shopping and I'd love to pay flat invoice for a RX350.
Thanks,

i'm in norcal, i'm not sure if they're able to give that price to you. technically it's "friends/family" price and for under $40k, i get everything minus AWD...i forgot if she mention the rear dvd is included or not.
