Anyone know if the color on the illuminated door sills can be changed from the standard amber? Any aftermarket kits to do this? Blue sure would look nice !

 

Sure.

Just get some "gel" from your neighborhood theatre lighting supply house. Gel is the thin sheets of colored material slipped into the front of a stage light to give it color. This is what it's for.

You have hundreds of selections, and if you don't like your first choice, you can change it for a dollar.

 

I wonder if the blue lighted IS door sills could work. Not the sills themselves but the LED part. When I tapped my RX330 door sills to illuminate my puddle LED lights, what I noticed is that the lighted LED Lexus script is a sealed boxed unit either tapped or screwed in (I don't remember) to the door sill itself. It is removable, so if the dimensions of the LED box itself is similar to the IS ones you could just pop them out of the IS and slap them in the back of the RX door sills. If you wanted to modify and change the LED lights themselves on or original RX330 one, you would have to open up the sealed box to gain access. It probably can be done though, but just will take some work.
