Just got the RX back from the body shop as my wife was the meat in a 3 car pileup sandwich. They had to replace the headlights along with a load of other things. The headlights do the whole up and down balance check when they fire up, but the side to side thing doesnt work, and the AFS Off light is flashing. I checked the switch and its in the right position. Does that system have to be initialized or something - kinda like the windows have to be initialized to get control over all of them from the drivers seat after the battery has been disconnected?
I showed the guy at the shop that the light was flashing and he had no idea what AFS even was...i called him and told him after i looked it up. I have confidence that they will be able to fix it, but is there any magic thing that i can do that someone knows about?
Hello,
For RX 330 (NAP) in March 14, 2006 Lexus has TSIB EL004-06 ("AFS INDICATOR LIGHT FLASHING"):
"...Introduction. Some vehicles in colder regions may exhibit a condition where the AFS indicator will initially flash when the vehicle is started. Inspect the left headlight assembly and secure the sub-harness as outlined in this TSIB..."
