Angry Lexus/330 CD Players Suck?

The other day, my CD player accepted a disc, then flashed ERROR 4. It would not play any CD's, accept anymore CD's or change to another CD. The radio works.

So, I went straight down to the dealership and got one ordered. The next day, I was just playing around with it to see if it was still broken, and by a miracle, it fixed itself. I'm still going to have it changed out.

I don't understand why these CD players break so easily. My RX is 1.5 years old. My IS had its CD player changed out twice!?! My Prelude (single disc) changed out once, right as the warranty expired...

I remember when I was at the dealership for something, this guy's SC, which couldn't be more than a year old, was getting his player changed.

I haven't had any trouble with our 6 disc indash CD player yet. However, hopefully by the end of the year I'll have a Alpine D310 and Alpine navigation system installed anyway I have someone in Japan locating the Harrier double DIN radio pocket for me. Hopefully he can get it and send it to me.

i've had that happen to my cd changer in my rx300 a couple times but i never bothered to have it replaced...i just powered the car off for a while and then fire her back up and it would "fix" itself...in retrospect, i prolly shoulda had it swapped out, tho...d'oh!
