I don't think I've seen any posts on the forum about adding TV to the system. If you have the optional Rear Seat Entertainment System, then there are ways to get the DVD picture to appear on the nav screen. (From the factory, it only works if the car is parked and the brake is on. There might be some mods out there.) You can't get the sound from the RSES to come out of the main speaker system, though.
The best nav systems seem to be those from the Japanese auto makers. Lexus (Toyota), Honda, and Nissan are highly rated. Last I saw, the European versions (like BMW) are considered very hard to use. Search the forum for this topic... there have been many posts about comparisons between companies. There was a very detailed post not very long ago comparing Lexus to Acura (Honda).

- It will void the warranty on your Nav, possibly other electronics as well.
- It exposes the manufacturer (and Lexus) to significant liability issues in the event of an accident.
- The problem is more than just furnishing an RGB signal to the touchscreen, it requires an additional audio input as well. (See #1, above)

Alpine KCE-150V
But, not all LCD's take the same kind of input.
You'll have to splice into the signale. of the nav system. You might want to consider contacting drivesoft for a complete solution. http://www.drivesoft.net/dfs_hardware.html
