Question for those who have ordered the trailer lighting converter
Does it come with the wire that runs from the car to the trailer, or do I have to buy this separate?

I installed the Lexus Trailer Light harness on my 04 330. The harness will only reach to the rear bumper so you will prably need to purchase an extension harness. I got one at Wal-Mart for about $5.

I got the part today. It comes with what eTrailer calls the "replacement vehicle wiring harness" but not the extension that goes to the trailer. To all those ordering in the future, you don't need to order the replacement vehicle wiring harness and the converter kit, just the converer kit.

What did you actually get from etrailer? Was it the Modulite power module? Did you have to run power to it from the battery and also connections to the taillights? The Lexus module is a straight plug in to the wiring harness located in the plastic compartment just foward of the rear bumper. I always thought the Modulite was more for a non-prewired vehicle and required manual wiring.

I only ordered the hitch from eTrailer. Everything else came with the Lexus converter kit. I agree that the modulite is a run to the battery, splice into the tail light wiring job. I didn't do that.
