Hi all,

Questions about the ML system:

1. Can I add a subwoofer? I've read that the bass is a weak spot on the RX's ML system. Are there sub-outs on the head unit?

2. Can I add a tube buffer, or replace the front speaker amplifiers with a tube amp? Is the interconnect system RCA, or proprietary?

Still considering if I want to get the ML system, or get a stock system and upgrade it. I'm after SQ. Thanks!

Not sure what types of equip you can add, but if I were wanting to add all that I would certainly not buy a vehicle equipped with the ML system. It's a fine system, yeah I've heard better, but why spend the extra to get that system then change it.

I'd go stock and create the perfect system. IMHO.

I agree with the above post, do not get the M.L system.
I have the system in my ES-300 and am not pleased with it at all, and have even contacted M.L. about getting the schematics so I can maybe modify it. They were of no help and directed me to my Lexus Dealer who did not have a clue.
For the price you would do much better getting a custom system.
