Default 2005 rx330 fuel tank drain question

Looks like my rx330 is heading off for scrap metal.
I need to remove fuel and engine oil.
Can anyone tell me is there a fuel tank drain, or a fuel line connection I can use to drain the tank?

Let them deal with it like they do with all the other vehicles taken to the scrapyard. I am sure hardly anybody thinks (or knows how) to drain the gas tank when their old vehicle is towed away for recycling.

Otherwise, get a siphon pump that you put down the filler neck to drain the gas into another container. Any auto parts store has them.
Engine oil draining is the same as changing it.

Not a car scrap yard. Metal recycler, and they will give me nothing for the car if they pick it up and the fuel tank has fuel in it.
its just the way they work here. They dont even want wheels cause they would have to deal with the tyres.

I'm curious what finally did in the ol' RX330?

There's no tank drain on these, you could maybe use the fuel pump to pump out the fuel, or drill a hole in the tank. Safest / best way is probably to pull the rear seats and suck it out of the tank on the driver side rear through the access hole

Darn, that's a shame because the body is in such good shape! Hopefully you get as much $$ out of it as you can

Oh no.
I'm sorry friend, that sucks.

Is it not worth it to drop in a JDM motor?
Please can I ask, how did the head gasket blow, high miles?

I don't know what caused the problem, 220,000ks 136,000 miles.
I don't know what a JDM motor is, but their are no replacement engines available here, that I know of.

JDM motor refers to a Japanese Domestic Market used motor. They do not keep cars forever in Japan due to their strict inspection laws and there is a big market exporting their used, low mileage engines all over the world. I bet there is an importer in your country.
