2005 RX330 BCM reprograming?
I've had major control issues with window/door control in our 2005 RX330. I'm sure it's related to the BCM, and originally I thought I'd replace it, but after seeing what was involved with getting to it, basically gutting the under-dash wiring/fuse module, I decided discretion was the better part of valor. So my question is, can the BCM be reprogrammed? I've come across articles on other vehicles, not Lexus, where they have reprogrammed (not just reset) the control module. I'm thinking that rather than the module being "damaged", say an internal component of circuit failure, it might just be a glitch in the firmware or software caused by a random voltage spike and reloading the firmware or software might fix the problem. Is anybody aware of this as a possibility?
I don't know it can be reflashed or not.
Also, the Body Control Module is much more than a module.
Inside contains a motherboard and several stacked cards that jump circuits to eachother.
If you want help on this please let us know what body control problems you have.
Please list them numerically and be specific about the problem on each. 😀
Also, was the vehicle flooded or has water coming inside?
