Key broke lost 3 button module with chip inside ...help
With a master key it is very quick, easy, and cheap as long as you do not go to a dealership, without a master it can still be done inexpensively either call around for your local locksmiths (as prices vary greatly) OR call Nobel lock and key in San Diego they cut a key for me that I programmed he can tell you how to best go about this and if need be will sell you a quality key very inexpensively I bought a new master had him cut it by sending him pics of the metal part of my master key.. took me less than 5 minutes to program with TechStream to my car another couple minutes to get the door locks and back hatch programmed

Well I got the key master key just lost the 3 button keyless entry with chip ..the key broke ..an I drove for about 2 hours before realizing I lost the chip ..then couldn't find it ...so do I just get a new chip 2 dollars online
Post a pic of what you have since it is not clear at all. The key consist of 3 parts:
- the metal "blade" portion - which has to be laser cut Home Depot cannot do this the dealership wants well over $100 just for cutting the blade.
- the black plastic "surround" - buying a cheap eBay key will yield you a very brittle palstic one... mine broke after one year of very limited gentle use
- the "transponder". about 3/4" x 1/2" x 1/4" clear plastic encased electronics that is the 3 buttons containing all the electronics. I bought one of these from eBay early this year supposed brand new tried pairing it several times threw it away.

The butons with battery is like a module and unlocks the doors- does not start the car.
This piece is not the chip for the key that is read by the Immobilizer Key Amplifier that reads the key while it's in the ignition, as far as I know.

I do believe you need that chip to copy keys easily on Techstream. I THINK you start with an original chip and get 5 seconds to take out and put in the new key. BUT.. I think there’s another option to delete all keys and start fresh.
Doesnt the car turn on (not start) without the immobilizer? If so, perhaps you can just start new with a new cut/chipped key? Sounds too good to be true, though. I just cant recall.
@OP. Do you have the emergency key card that may have came with the car? It has the chip on the flat plastic area.

I think he is talking about the chip that’s size of a finger nail which starts the car.

I don’t see how it can be read repeatedly. If you use the emergency key which is just a piece of metal you insert it then hold the holder card which contains the RFID chip close to the ignition switch as you turn the key. Once the car is started you can put the holder card away as the engine continues to run. That suggests a single read.
He's not been listening rather just throwing cash at the cheapest assumed fix rather than listening and responding. He's been asked repeatedly to post picks because his initial and subsequent pays make zero sense. I've provided answers to his ambiguous posts yet he has failed to pay simple pics which have been requested several times. I've mentioned that many eBay keys will not work not will trying to program a key to start the car by opening doors or tapping buttons that requires Tech stream or similar software. There have been MANY threads on how to purchase and program keys he's shown no sign of reading/following them there are also many YouTubes videos how to do this is isn't anywhere near this hard it confusing hence why he's been asked many times to post pics
