Battery locked / dead after stuck CD hack..
Had my RX 400h since May 2021 - So many times it won't go to READY.
Last night on my way to work CDs were stuck. This morning found the hack in the posts of setting to SHIP mode (SCAN ^ + DISC + ACC, then eject = worked.) About an hour later (7am) the car alarm was going off - Very slow & quiet. Car wouldn't start / go to READY, says to put in PARK to start. It is. Came out to ck it abt an hour ago - Still won't start now says CHECK VSC + PUT IN P WHEN STARTING, then dash lights die.
Is there a hack to bypass this ****? I'm assuming the regular battery is dead? I have a portable charger, but it just started pouring rain. 😭
Please help

That was my thought as well,, Except the dealership checked the battery abt a month ago bc I was worried abt the hybrid battery.. It's apparently fine! 🤨
AND, is it true that they can't check a hybrid battery? They say the only warning is the Service Engine light comes on? 🤔 Idk if I believe that.

In the UK the Lexus dealership network has an option to pay for a 'hybrid check'. If you do this, and it passes, they provide a 12 month warranty.
The 12v battery is different to the hybrid battery.
The symptoms you've described match what I experienced when I had a failing 12V battery. If you had driven to the dealership, the 12v battery may have been getting charged by the alternator on the way. That might have given a false reading when they tested it. You're supposed to wait 12 hours between shutting off the engine and reading the battery voltage.
I bought a B32 Varta Blue Dynamic Car Battery 12V for £61 including postage and packing. It came with a 4 year guarantee, but only lasted 3 years. I then received a replacement battery for free.
If the replacement battery also lasts three years, I'll have received 6 years of functional battery for £61 - which I'm quite happy to pay.
Given the relatively low price of a 12v car battery, I'd suggest you replace it and see if things improve.

I was told there is no way for them to check the life of a hybrid battery,,, Is that just BS and a USA dealership excuse, or ??
Will definitely look into a new 12v battery.
Though it looks like the prices in the UK are MUCH cheaper than here in the states!
Thanks!
