Hello all
I have a 99rx300, bought it used a few years ago and started driving it again. Our engine light goes on periodically, runs like crap at times but when it's not on it runs fine. One can't know when it will go on then off. This is my reason for posting and hoping if someone in the area I live in knows of a mechanic that is familiar with these cars I'd like to know. Calgary Alberta Canada.
I am also handy so if someone knows of a fix I'm all ears. Someone mentioned spraying throttle cleaner or something in the injection system to blast out any build up. but you never can trust just anyone.
We have other issues on the car like, alarms go off just after you leave the car and as the door locks ocasionally work when you open the other doors to manually lock them that alarm sometimes goes off.
I'll add that I am a Toyota fan and own a few Landcruiser's and a Sequoia. I love Toyotas but this Toyota product seems like a Chrysler ! but hey ! It could just be my unlucky or inability to recognize when it needs something.
It burns oil but it does have 370,000km on it. It is however a sweet ride.

You have 370,000km on the car and you compare it to a Chrysler?
