Lightbulb sunglass holder

I was told that the 01 rx300 has a sunglass holder that will fit in the 98/99 GS300. Does anyone have any info on this?? I have the 98 with the homelink device tucked in that spot, but when opened, it appears to have the grooves for a swing down door. Anyone have a pic and part # please??

Thanks, in advance

Before you go to too much effort, I'd suggest checking that your sunglasses fit in the RX roof compartment for glasses. I have a 2002 RX300 and my sports-style sunglasses don't fit, although regular sized glasses do.

Exclamation sunglass holder

I use the oakley why 3's. They are pretty thin and compact... Got a pic you can take with the size?? And does this swing down as the compartment in the GS I described?? you think this will fit the GS?

Rock:

What do you plan to do with the home link buttons? Move them to sun-shade? The problem is that you get one or the other ... HLink-holder or the sun-glass-holder.

Talking sunglass holder

Don't need the home link as of now.. Rather protect my shades. They are $265 a set and have already sat on the previous 2.

The chance of Oakley's fitting in the holder is slim and none.

I keep my Bolle Edge sports-style sunglasses in the upper drawer of the console (next to the drink holders). That works for me, since they don't fit in the roof compartment.

I started out this way from the beginning, so I didn't have to clean it out first

anything more than standard eyeglasses or RayBan aviator style frames are not going to fit in the compartment. No way any plastic or composite frame sports glasses are getting in there.

My Oakley XX's don't fit in the compartment on my '02 RX. I now use the compartment to store my Jabra Bluetooth wireless headset.

I mounted my XM Radio Roady reciever into my RX300 sunglass holder. Fits perfectly.

Keys,

Got pix of that by any chance? Is it the Roady 2 with the builtin in FM modulator? I was thinking of upgrading my Ski-Fi to a smaller unit. The Ski-Fi now sits in the bottom drawer of the console.

I will settle for anything.. Point is i don't use it now... If I can get that little compartment door that appears to fit in there.. I can probably use it for that sattelite receiver as well... Anyone have pics?? Or has tried to swap out this door into the GS? I had also heard that a certain year camry had the same sized door...

Only my flat WW2 aviators fit into the compartment, which is kind of annoying with i wear fatter glasses like oakleys, oh well.
