Cruise control disengaged when I set speed

Cruise control disengaged when I set speed
I activate the cruise control at 70 mph, it will work for about 25 miles, then it disengages by itself. Please share with me what where to find the cruise control actuator so I can see if it needs to be replaced or reconnected. Thanks
